Ordered a vegan cake for my daughter’s 3rd birthday. Paid extra for writing on top which I was told will be a coconut icing. Perfect. Arrived to collect the cake, no writing because they have none and the cake has been squashed against the box.. $60 and disappointed. Please work on your communication and customer service.
I wanted to pick a small cake for my mates bday. However even the smallest one costed me $41.90 plus $5 extra just for getting "HBD Abby" written on top. I think it is absolutely ridiculous that they charged me 11.93% of the cake's price just for getting a standard Happy Birthday message written on it. Moreover, they didn't even tell me beforehand that it'd cost extra. Staff members are friendly and helpful but I think overall presentation of the store could definitely improve. Some of the cakes are extremely overpriced in my opinion.
Excellent tortes and customer service. We always got our birthday cakes from their torte range and are always satisfied with the quality, quantity and price! You cannot go wrong. There is one thing to mention though!! Their original strawberry fields torte with the similar arrangement to their pecan coffee torte was my absolute favorite!! It has now been replaced by a jellified surface strawberry torte and I am so sad. Is it possible to boycott and bring it back?? :
Cake caused food poisoning + Can't spell names correctly?! Ordered from this store for a while now. However, today, walked in and the lady was rude and abrupt when we asked for the cake we ordered online. Terrible atmosphere. Brought home the cake to find they spelt my child's name wrong even though it was written clearly on the website and is a pretty common name in general. Accepting the terrible misspelling, I served this cake to my elderly parents and four children in the family. Honestly, it seemed rather stale when cutting into it but I tried to reason myself perhaps it was because the type of cake. I was wrong. A few hours later, two of the kids are extremely sick. Haven't eaten anything at all that is different other than this cake. We threw the rest out. After being a customer for years, we will never come back here. Would rather pay double than get sick and have such poor service.
LOVE the fact they were open New Years today! It meant I was able to pick up a cake for my aunt and know it'd be fresh From arrival to payment I spent only 7mins total in the shop where I told them what I'd like; including the Happy Birthday msg I required.. and then chose candles while they boxed it up etc Although I didn't order it online as I was distracted by my toddler and forgot LOL I did look in advance at their cake options & ultimately went with the Black Forest Torte which I knew everyone would enjoy flavour-wise and they did. Store itself was clean, presentable, and although no one was present when I walked through the door - the young man who served me was behind the counter before the door even closed behind me. Customer service was pleasant & efficient. Prices are fair for the size $48.90 for Full Size + $6 writing Overall very satisfied with the quality in every aspect & grateful to have one less thing on my list to worry about during this busy season Fyi pic was taken after candles blown out and some haphazardly removed
. I love the strawberry cheesecake it’s my favourite of all time. However My sister got it for my birthday on Tuesday and I was extremely disappointed! I could not taste the cream cheese in this cheesecake at all. it lacked the tartiness you expect in a cheesecake it was overly sweet the balance was not there. which sucks because you don’t usually get that from the cheesecake shop. I’m so disappointed she spent that much money on something that was tasteless. Do not waste your money on this cheesecake it’s not worth it! Or do and you’ll see what I’m talking about!
Honest to god the staff at New Lynn branch just know the go with cake pops. I had to put mine in the fridge by the time I got home , forgot about them, now here we are a few hours later .. they still melt when I bite them. 10/10 would recommend. I’m tryna buy whoever made my cake pops a trip to get their nails done x
Beautiful Cookies and Cream cake that was so easily ordered online, and the business rang me the next morning to confirm my order and instructions. My 10 yr old daughter and her friends loved it and especially loved plucking the treats off the top! Great selection of cakes and related accessories in store when I went to pick up!
Would give zero if that was possible. They happily accepted my payment of $73.90 and didn't even have the courtesy, let alone basic customer service to advise me that they would not be able to provide me with my order as their printer was broken! This was only shared with me after much back and forth from staff when I phoned them on the day of pickup to arrange an appropriate time for pickup. Then came the run around to get a full refund with unanswered emails when I tried to follow up on this. Disgusting!!! Will never bother with them again.
