It was unfortunately still too cold at the end of September for a beekeeping tour, but we were able to go on the Honey Spinning Experience hosted by Nick, and it was awesome! Minimal hands on, but we did get a chance to heat some honeycomb and dispense honey into our own labelled jars from the spinning machine. Nick was generous with his knowledge and we had a blast learning more about bees. Definitely recommended! The cafe sells plenty of goods like honeys with free samples! and meads, great options for gifting.
Nick was a fantastic host, and it was great fun getting to make an array of honey soaps, lip balms, candles, 'vintage' bees wax paper and more! Really good value for money considering the amount of goodies you get to run away with! Would highly recommend for anyone who has a spare hour in.Food: 5/5
Delicious! So many choices to sit in the gardens, under the umbrella on the deck or inside on the cosy couch. Great coffee and a ultra satisfying breakfast. Felt for them struggling with recovering out of covid but was pleased to see the hussle and passion from the staff working - even on their day off.
Best bee tour ever thanks Nick Learnt so much about Bees We saw the bees making honey in the hives. The we heated and scrapped the wax off the honeycomb and the honey was underneath and so delicious. Then we Spun honey the out, then filled our jars. Omg so yummy Best place ever Highly recommended Kid-friendliness: Lovely staff, knowledgeable, kind and very friendly Parking: Plenty of Parking and heaps of room for wheelchair parking Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly access to cafe and around the outside cafe part.
Brought the family down to get their Honey fix. Nick is very knowledgeable and has some of the greatest honey offerings in NZ. Staff are very accommodating and go above and beyond to explain the honey and its origins. The cafe serves up a great pizza and coffee!
If you’re visiting Queenstown, book a tour!! We had such a great experience with the beekeepers tour and honey spinning demo. The beekeeper shared so many cool bee facts, and the honey we made and took home is delicious. We took home some great Manuka honey products and a sparkling mead.
Very cute outfit, Cafe currently lost a chef but the pies are just as good. Great chill out spot. Must stop for all tourists.Food: 5/5
Cool place. We visit regularly when in QT. I like watching the bees in the glass box. A bit hidden so there's always space. Coffee is usually ok, but not great last time we visited. Pretty cold inside in winter, wish it was a bit cozier.
This was a highlight of our trip! We partook in the Honey Spinning Tour which was exceptional, and Nick was incredibly knowledgeable! My jaw-dropped at some of the facts about bees he shared with us. Spinning our own honey was a lot of fun as well as delicious!. We also had a big breakfast at the cafe. Food could not have been better and the atmosphere was relaxed and cozy. Highly recommend making this a stop on your trip to Queenstown. We’ll certainly be back for the Beekeeping tour in the summer : Thanks Nick and team for making it such a great experience! I’ll never take honey for granted again ;
Buzzstop Bee and Honey Center, led by the enthusiastic Nick, offers a hands-on, educational adventure for all ages. Families will love this interactive experience, where you learn about bees, spin honey, and bottle your personalized jar of fresh honey. Nick's knowledge and passion make the visit truly exceptional. Buzzstop is a must-visit for bee enthusiasts and anyone curious about the world of bees and honey. Unforgettable memories guaranteed! We look forward to returning in the Summer for the Beekeeping experience!
