The Beer Spot

Great venue, great views, great drinks, great staff, great times. Of all the various Beer Spots I've been to, this was definitely the nicest looking inside and out. Great arrangement with the food trucks directly outside too. And, I'm happy to say that after thirty something years wondering how to play Backgammon, we finally looked up the rules and had multiple games before closing time.

The manager Marie is so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is great and the selection of craft beers and wines from around NZ is vast. Marie is happy to offer her opinion and a taste of whichever lagers or ales you want to try before you buy.nA fab venue, great staff and a different food van each week to keep the menu's exciting. Would definitely recommend nThere is also a really nice terrace with a sea view which adds to the appeal

Everything was awesome, except the food. We got some skewers and coleslaw salad from the truck. They were terrible. They used slow cook meat for skewers and the salad was not dressing, just cabbage rough sliced.

Great joint. Plenty of beer selection and frequent changes to keep it interesting. Good banter from the bar staff as well which makes all the difference.
