The BBQ Hut - Mangawhai

Such a fantastic find! We were driving from Auckland to Waipu and stumbled across this gem when we needed a lunch break. It was pouring with rain so the outdoor seating area was a no go, the incredibly kind man brought our burgers out to the car for us! The smash burger was amazing and the pulled pork sandwich was an absolute stand out. Will be recommending to friends and family.

On our way to Mangawhai heads we felt like some meaty lunch before hitting the beach. We googled and found this little bbq joint. The friendly staff welcomed us and helped us ordering a taste box and a smash burger. All the bbq meat was juicy and tender. The smash burger was one of the best we have ever had. The buns were toasted to perfection, the smash patty was juicy & crispy and the sauce was well balanced. Overall, we really enjoyed our lunch here. Highly recommended!

Exploring the menu at BBQ Hut, I ventured into trying their brisket burger, and it was a delightful experience. However, the anticipation for their smash burger on my next visit is already building. Looking forward to savoring another aspect of their enticing offerings.

What an awesome find! This place rocks. We had a lamb & brisket toastie which were super moorish, made with love & served with a smile! Their smashed burgers looked awesome too! Lovely owners, really well priced. Thanks guys! Highly recommend.
