One day, I asked the young male waiter for recommendations and placed my order. I forget the name of the dish, but this sandwich was very tasty, with a good balance of sour, spicy possibly seasoned cabbage and beef flavours. I happened to be in Invercargill on a business trip and would like to go back. And I want to order the same.
It’s a great spot, probably the best/most popular cafe in this town.nnThe Blue Cod Butty is my go-to every time I have to come to this wonderful part of the world, I can’t say enough good about it, I’ve tried to replicate it at home but can’t seem to quite get it right.nnMy only comment would be the coffee is a bit slow coming out, but they are trying to make coffee for 1/2 of Invercargill at 8:30am so it’s understandable. Keep up the good mahi team.
We ordered eggs Benedict, coffee, and a chocolate cake! The food was tasty, but the menu didn’t have many options. The wait time was around 20–25 minutes since the place was really busy on Sunday. There were tables available for groups, but not for two people right away, so we had to wait!
I've heard the scones are delicious, I can say the Eggs Benny is too.nGreat atmosphere and yummy treats.
Although this cafe was obviously popular, our group were able to find a big table. The coffee was excellent, the cabinet food was good and there was a good range to choose from. The service couldn't be faulted.nnThe space is modern and the toilets were impeccably clean. We would definitely return if we are ever in Invercargill again.
