Extremely flavourful, generous Mexican food, located on the main strip in Tauranga. Ambience was excellent and they also have a large selection of cocktails to go - only gripe was they didn't have any mezcal but don't let that take away from the selection on offer! We have fajitas, ribs and enchiladas and we were pretty well stuffed for the evening! Waiting staff all had permanent smiles on their faces and were the perfect hosts.
Great evening and food! Been a while since we last been at Barrio Brothers and the food was excellent with fantastic flavours. We were placed in a slightly dark area where I had to use my phone's torch to read the menu but once we ordered it was fine. There was a lively atmosphere with vibrant colours and the staff was friendly with good service overall. Would highly recommend Barrio Brothers and we will definitely come back next time we are in town again.
1st time there, food was good, but the ordering by QR code system needs some work as half our order was missed. The Staff were friendly enough, but maybe need a few more as service was a little slow.
This place is now my list of one of the best restaurants in Tauranga.. Lovely Ambience, Cool staff. Me and my workmates are really amazed and thrilled by the quality and taste of the food. Must visit place
Food was wonderful. Very soft and delicious meats. Nachos was thin and crunchy, not that thick and hard like others. Beef and pork tacos plus that mexican chicken is very good. Will try the mushroom one nextime. Margarita is wow! Will definitely go back when we visit Tauranga again
We tried their chicken quesadilla, fried chicken tacos and strawberry margarita. The food was delicious except the rice that came with the chicken quesadilla was slightly dry. We loved the ambience.It's highly recommended.
Food was absolutely amazing! Would 100% come back. Prawn Tacos & Fried chicken were delicious Gracias. Service was awesome, the tall guy who had to duck under the roof every time he brought our food over showed true dedication He’s the man!
Thursday night discount margaritas was just what the end of the work year called for. $13 jugs instead of $30 -winner! Great food as usual and fast service. The squid is always great here, never overcooked.
Great food, service was terrible. No one cleared the table, we had to move it to another table. They forgot our kids ice creams until I followed up 20mins later. Asked for a second round of drinks had to go up and ask again ourselves. But enjoyed the food just unsure why the service was so poor as it was Sunday night and pretty much empty.
The food was really good. Unfortunately the acoustics are poor so it was really hard to hear each other speak, especially in the main dining area not in the booths, by the bar or out in the courtyard.
