It’s a busy little spot and the locals love it. The food we tried was ok and very large portions . getting a table or acknowledged when you walk in is hit or miss. I can say the margaritas were excellent and the service….. well I guess the one guy was doing his best. Some drunk guy accosted my wife while I went to the bathroom so we probably won’t go back….
A great local to dine.nHad a full breakfast and the quality and the quantity was great. Perfectly cooked meal and that too pretty fast. Would definitely recommend others to try this cafe out.
And I thought the carbonara was out of this world! This grilled chicken and halloumi salad might just be better. The soy marinated chicken is addicting paired with the amazing dressing in the salad . Perfect for when your wanting a filling but not too heavy meal
We live locally and try out lots of cafes. Today’s creamy mushrooms on a rosti was superb. I wouldn’t add or subtract anything - and I’m a creamy mushroom snob!
The Asylum is on the move in Howick on Wednesday for #fastfoodfriday as Friday we have famz coming. The Apothecary Licensed Eatery in Howick was the choice tonight as it's Rib night normally $32 Wed night $22. Everyone had ribs. Only 2 finished . Outstanding ribs which were generously portioned. Cheese bread looked like . Sides were Mac and cheese tasty. Pan dried scallops cooked just right tender and juicy. Crispy fried calamari with a sweet sauced salad think I tasted pomegranate. Dessert had by 3. Passionfruit Cheesecake had a thick gelatinous topping which I'm not used to and as for taste, well there was nothing left on the plate . Creme Brulee tasted tested by T was judged as really good really good translates to outstanding . Finished with cappuccinos and mocha and flat white. This could be the first 5/5 for Fastfood Friday Foodie Bumz Big Upz to The Apothecary and big shout to Abby our hostess with the mostest . Nice job Abz. . Oh yeah the moose is called Murray
