Pretty good food and ambience here. We ordered the chilli prawn scramble, it’s really yummy! 2x big tiger prawns on top of the scramble and kumara sourdough. Even their cabinet food is tasty, we had the bacon and egg quiche! Legit good coffee too. Will be back to try other menus !!

Howick village cafe is a gem in Howick.nThey serve good food, good coffee, good service! You are literally got what you pay!nI have been trying out several cafe in Howick, this is still my number one of choice. Good job!

Pretty disappointed really - I’ve been wanting to try this spot for breakfast for a while but I didn’t even want to stay and eat after encountering a few service issues:nn1. Everything is overpriced. $25 for avo and eggs on toast, because it’s got a vine tomato and dukkah with it. The cheapest breakfast is $21.n2. They do that irritating thing of pricing ‘small coffee’ well, but only because it comes with a single shot. All coffee should be double shot standard unless requesting espresso.n3. They tried to sit me cramped between two other tables despite the place being empty. They did this because I was dining alone and it was the only table for two. Look at the photo.nnThe whole experience just felt unwelcoming and the menu pretentious.

Accessible local cafe that gets the job done for a quick coffee catchup or lunch.nnGreat coffee and a wide menu selection. The bagels are exactly what you expect if you order them. It's well priced for brunch food, and good for something casual.

Always ....always a pleasure.nnFriendly staff, lovely location, beautiful food, best hot drinks too - kids, adults - ticks the box for all.
