That was the best fish and chips I have ever had! I had a piece of battered fish which was light and crunchy, and one grilled which was lemony and buttery. Both were perfect. The chips were superb also. Really decent size serve also. Thanks Nathan and crew for delivering fish and chip perfection on Waiheke island! I should have taken a picture but my husband took one of his fish burger, which was just as delicious!
I had seen the reviews for The 3 Fishes on Google, so was very keen to come. We had been wine tasting for the afternoon, and turned up quite late without pre ordering, but thought fish and chips would be a great way to end the day! Nathan didn’t have much fish left, in fact after us he had to turn others away, so we were very lucky to get dinner was a very busy Easter Saturday. We got grilled and crumbed fish and chips with a side of oysters. Nathan was telling us he gets fish in every day from multiple suppliers to ensure its freshness, and it shows. Seriously it was such a treat to finish off the night here. Nathan was also kind enough to gift us some mousse which was delicious. Will definitely visit again when I’m up your end of the country again. Thanks Nathan!
Fantastic fish and chips by super friendly owner. I wish I have a bigger stomach to try more food mushy peas and paua. I have to go back again one day. Thank you for giving me the only Waiheke souvenir I brought home - a Paua shell. :
This is probably the BEST fish n’ chips in NZ! Sadly, it is located far from where I live. Or fortunately for my belly .nYes, they do real proper hand-cut potato chips. I tried their crumbed fish when I was last there, and I will definitely try their battered fish next time. This place deserves more press!nCheers
Truly epic fish burger. It was next level. Twice cooked chips, pickle, panko crumb, battered potato cake, lettuce, cheese and special sauce.
