Easy trail that is well marked. Went in during the night, didn’t manage to catch any glo worms throughout the walk but manage to stargaze with the minimal light pollution
Well, I guess it depends on what you’re looking for, but if you want just a nice light walk with a steep hill at the end, that will take you approximately 30 to 40 minutes, this is the trail for you.nnI heard a lot of beautiful bird sounds, and it was so lush and green in there.nnAnd, it used to hook up to the Callery Gorge Walk, but no longer does and is taped off. There was probably some kind of a mudslide or something?
A FREE experience just a short stroll from your accommodation. Walked to the end of the track and saw some glow worms there whilst sitting on the bench. Turn off your torch and let your eye adjust to see the little blue glow. On the way back we found an upturned tree that had heaps more and got an upclose view of them.
If you come here to see glowworms, come at night, just walk the first 5 mins, on the right side there is a caved in area about 1m deep and 1m wide, turn off the torch and let your eyes adjust to the dark. There are more glow worms here than at the end of the walk. See it from a squatting position, as there are even more worms at the bottom. Find some 2-3cm hanging webs see the picture, that's where the glow worms are.nnAs said on the entrace, it takes 30mins return, a flat pathway with a slight uphill towards the end. At the end of the track there is a bench, nothing else.nnIf you have been to some other forest area this one is not that special.
The terrace walk itself is only about 10 minutes in before it's roped off. We found remanents of a track and had to bushwack & climb up a waterfall about 30 mins before we could get back up to the main track to the bridge. Walked back along the river which was beautiful, but very hot on a sunny day
