Tasty specials, good friendly service even tho they were full which is nice. Flavourful with fresh ingredients. Everything was served warm and we'll presented. Make good use of the outside seatings on a sunny Wellington day with sunscreen, some tables have umbrellas.Food: 5/5
Great place. Coffee was lovely. The food was great. Avocado toast tasted wonderful. The porridge was great. The scone was delicious, tad more muffin like but still very yummy.
Yum! Great food - great coffee. Best GF toast in town! My go to place for breakfast when I am in Wellington!!
Experience Asado. Booking is required. 2 hours BBQ dinner experience6.30pm to 8.30pm.Food: 4/5
Excellent cafe. If you're there for brunch, take a leap into the unknown and try their kedgeree - it's basically an institution, and has been on the menu as long as I can remember. Great location tucked away next to City Gallery. Good service, great coffee, delicious fresh juice. A bit expensive compared to some other cafes but you get what you pay for in this case
Lovely avo on toast with bacon. Coffee always good and great cheese scones.
Sadly we were very disappointed by our Asado experience. Firstly, it states to get there by 6.30 pm which we arrived much earlier than that but didn’t get any food until after 7 other diners you could tell were getting restless as well. The food was ok, I was going to give 3 stars but remembered how much salt we put on our meat to enhance the taste steak was good after that. Sadly we missed out on getting any extras as even though we were seated near the start the severs followed a set pattern so by the time they got to us there were no more extras though I did notice some of the previous tables got double servings which probably added to us missing out. We left as soon as we finished our dessert which wasn’t until after 9 states this is 6.30 to 8.30. Also as an FYI the deposit isn’t taken off the bill, it’s refunded back to you which I’m not sure how long that is going to take. I’ve spoken to a few friends that went there and they experienced similar to us, long wait for disappointment! So fair warning - don’t have high hopes, or better yet just go to Wildfire - much more worth the money & the service is immaculate.
A very nice cafe within the wellington art gallery. The hot chocolate here was great and the coffee was nice and hot. Lovely and helpful staff too. I look forward to visiting this cafe again when I am back in Wellington.Food: 5/5
So good! Ordered the halloumi and my girlfriend pasta with ribs. SO GOOD! Best food yet in NZ restaurant. Great service aswell. Cozy little place. If i lived in Wellington I would visit quite often. Vegetarian options: Both veg and vegan. Clearly marked on the menu.
I wish I had checked the 2x stars review below as perfectly described our experience yesterday. The website doesn't match the reality. No flavour and boring. If you wish a real asado experience please go to El Matador Cuba St or Fogo in Queenstown.
