A surprising gem hidden in Riverton. The museum was larger than I expected, and shares the history of the area in an intriguing way.
Really good local museum. Well worth a visit. The stories of the old settlers and the whaling and sealing days are very interesting.

Great museum - much bigger than you'd expect for such a small town and with high quality exhibits, equal in quality to larger city museums, but with friendly, personalised service.
Museum is not too big but still worth to visiting. About the history of Maori and war. Also there is an exhibition for dolphin until April. $9 per adult.
