This is a great place to stay in Te Anau. From our motel room, we can see the gorgeous mountains.nThere's a relaxed vibe and nice cooking facilities with a big dining area.nThere's even a sauna and spa for after your long walks.nWe used this as a base for a week's stay and it has been super comfortable.nThanks Top 10 Team nBernie
We checked in as a family of four, the location is great if you want travel to Milford or Fiordland National Park.nnSuper market, restaurants are just few minutes walk. Family friendly.nnWe found the rooms were too small, the staff got our credit card information as a room security that we felt was a red flag. There weren’t any dinner plates or even pans in our room with a kitchenette, we had to ask for these and staff definitely helped us with that.nnDespite being a Top 10 member, the hot pools, trike bikes were available only after a certain charge per hour which again was disappointing.
Nice holiday park with friendly staff.nThe TV room was spacious, warm, cozy, and comfortable.nnThe kitchen was large, but it didn’t have enough sinks or cooking stoves to handle peak hours.nThe same goes for the showers — there were too few in comparison to the number of guests, making it difficult during busy times.nnOne downside is that all shared areas are cleaned simultaneously every day from 10:00 to 12:00. This means you have to finish all your morning routines before that time and then find somewhere else to go while the facilities are closed for cleaning
It’s clean and quiet here, but I just went down to try to use the spa and they said we are no longer a customer at 10 am so we can’t book it bc we stayed last night and got here after it closed and are checking out at 10 today so we are no longer a customer. I’m like we stil have an hour and half until checkout and she’s like nahhhh. You can’t use the spa. Therefore we are no longer a customer. Just be aware that if you want to pay $20 to use the spa, you can’t do it when you wake up. Oh well.nnEdit in response to the response from them-nnThe problem isn’t you cleaning the facilities. The problem is you told me I am no longer a customer at 8:30 am. It was repeated that I could not book anything at all bc I was no longer a customer and I requested anything at 830 am.nnOnce a customer, always a customer - until they choose never to be a customer again.nnI’ll update this to a 4 star bc everyone was nice and your showers were nice and hot and I could take a long high-pressured one which I try to not do bc I try to do things the right way and ya know pay for a hot tub or sauna or whatever but since I couldn’t I just took a really hot long shower and I was battling some bad allergies from traveling so I just wanted to steam myself- which is why I asked to pay to use your facilities in the first place.nnNo worries. Just letting you know that everyone should always be considered your customer.
Great for camping in Te Anau. Camping spots are close to the road but that didn’t matter to us. Facilities were great - big kitchen and indoor seating area, clean bathrooms and showers, and laundry service. Can walk into Te Anau in seconds. Would recommend.
