We’ve just finished a 2 night stay and we can’t reccomend this place enough. We’re on the later end of our South Island loop and this was definitely the most helpful and genuine campsite we stayed at. Mike is a genuinely lovely person and he and his wife have clearly invested so much love and care into this place. The herb and veggie gardens all over the site, the pizza oven fired up every other night and the hot tubs with cosy towels supplied were all highlights. We got a great tip when we called ahead to book the hot tubs that part cooked pizza bases could be picked up in Nonnas bakery in town to make life a bit easier.nClean Bathrooms, lovely hot water and great shower pressure. Not the snazziest, newest facilities in the world but it had everything we needed, and it is camping after all. Mike saw us resting in the tv room and popped his head to ask had we found the heating switch to make sure we were cozy in there. Lovely little touches like that all through the stay.nWe had a nice spacious plot with hard standing, very easy to for our 6m van in reversed and still access back doors although maybe it was one of the better spots since we had booked two days.nIt was a fabulous stay and just lovely to see people running a site with passion and love rather than just as a business.
We stayed here for one night before departing for Milford Sound and had a wonderful experience. The staff gave us a warm welcome, the bathrooms were clean, and we really enjoyed our stay. There are jumping pillows, hot pools, and a sauna available. The sauna is quite small and fits a maximum of two people. It can be reserved free of charge for 30 minutes. Highly recommended!
Nestled right on the edge of the lake, Tasman Holiday Parks – Te Anau is an absolute gem for anyone exploring Fiordland. From the moment you arrive, the property impresses with its neat and clean presentation, reflecting a high standard of maintenance that is evident in every corner of the park.nOne of the standout highlights is the individual hut-style accommodation. These units offer a fantastic, cozy experience that feels much more personal and unique than a standard motel room. They are beautifully maintained, providing a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort—ideal for relaxing after a long day of hiking the Milford or Kepler Tracks.nThe facilities are top-notch, including luxury hot tubs with stunning views and a great communal pizza oven that adds a fun, social vibe to the evenings. What truly makes the stay memorable, however, is the staff. The team is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with local advice or tour bookings with a genuine smile.nWhether you're there for the proximity to the Glow Worm caves or just to soak in the lakeside tranquility, this park offers a premium experience. It is a well-managed, spotless, and inviting base that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Te Anau.

The facilities were spotless, well-maintained, and clearly cared for with attention to detail.nnA special mention to Mike, the owner, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, which really made the experience stand out.nnThe service was outstanding, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Te Anau. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area — we’ll definitely be back!
Great location close to town, with well maintained campsites, gardens and facilities. The sauna and hot tubs were magnificent for sore muscles after completing the Kepler track. A must stay.
