Wish I could give zero stars for this organisation. My grandson was referred after 2 weeks we had heard nothing even though we had conformation the referral was recieved. We contacted midwife again so she sent through another referral.. 2 weeks later and nothing. Imagine if this was a mum with no support and post natal .. or baby losing weight .... this is disgusting and this organization should not be receiving funding based on this appalling performance ... how many other new mums are experiencing this.
Had to leave this practice due to so much unnecessary complications. Always had trouble contacting the receptionist whom hardly or never picked up my calls. I tried 2 weeks straight day after day to try get an appointment and Nobody ever picked up or contacted me back!! Eventually after 2 weeks I had an appointment but had to wait another 2 weeks and my health deteriorated!!! Our children are on preventative antibiotics for the rest of their life the both suffer with an immune deficiency and rely on this medication. Every year we visit our immunologist Specialist at Starship Hospital in Auckland for a checkup and medication review. Every now and then when we try and call for a repeat for our childrens medication we get a text saying they need to book in with the GP for a Medication Review and request us to call them and they never pick up! disappointed in the service from Te Manu Toroa we will never come back.nnAhakoa he ingoa Māori tā kautau wahi mahi, he Pakeha kē nga Tikanga ā muri!!!!
I have now been attending this practice for more than a year. I moved after regular replacement of GPs at previous practice and was very happy with my initial doctor at TMT. Unfortunately she moved on and I am now meeting with Rosemary Minto, very competent nurse practitioner.nHowever owing to frequently long waiting times for appointments at this clinic, I have also met with two different doctors - all helpful and competent as is Rosemary. But it would be good to be able to get to your own doctor within a couple of days, ideally.nThe reception staff and nurses are great too. The whole practice feels positive, friendly and welcoming. Well done, Te Manu Toroa whanau.
I had left my doctor as I had been told to transfer to this one. Upon the transfer I tried to make an appointment and have been mucked around as they only have morning appointments for a family. How are people that work supposed to even get an appointment. Very frustrating and wish I had never left my other Gp. The Papamoa staff are also very rude over the phone. Time for a new job people.
I have always been a patient of a hau Ora from waiheke island to Tauranga 6 years ago. The docs here have always gone above and beyond, I’m not a straightforward case to one doc reading through 10 years of medical notes to learn about my case and put a 7 page report together. Which has really helped. When I have to see a different doc for emergency they too know what I need. The warm welcome from reception, the docs and can’t forget the nurses. The nurses really know how to calm and reassure. I love this hau Ora and wouldn’t go anywhere else.
