Story

Tauranga Canvas Ltd was the first company established in 1953 by the well known Sir Bob Owens and later formed part of The Owens Group of Companies, a major transport and services organisation.

In 2002, John Burn (retired CEO from Owens Services BOP) and Andrew McCall (long term manager) purchased Tauranga Canvas.

In December 2006, our 1900m² purpose-built manufacturing facility was built, giving us a large drive through area which enables us to carry out fittings and repairs in all weather conditions.

Tauranga Canvas can supply all your requirements for truck curtainsides, roll over or roll up tarpaulins for truck bodies, custom made quality tarpaulins for general purposes, insulated tanker covers and webbing or mesh stockcrate covers. With our experience we can also help with the design and manufacture of your one-off special project.
