At Mermaids and Mullets we cut and style children's hair so they get a positive experience in a stress free environment that is convenient for families.

Story

I am a qualified hair stylist with experience working in New Zealand and overseas in the UK and Australia.
I have worked in hair salons, barber shops and also worked in a children's salon in London.
I started my business as a mobile service that provides a relaxed and fun environment for the children and is convenient for the parents. Over Summer on the weekends I have decided to open a pop up hair salon from home, no appointments necessary from 9 am to 4 pm If the sign is out just pop in! Because I have a full time Monday to Friday job, I am also available by appointment only from 6 pm at home.
Although I cut children hair I am also happy to do family cuts for Mum and Dad too.
Prices - $20 at home or $25 mobile service in the local BOP

The hospitality here is unmatched! We came in around 10 pm and were still welcome to order dinner. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful, eccentric and in no way tacky. The menu has a nice balance with mostly comfort food, with an appropriate selection of vegetarian options. The cocktails were served rapidly after ordering and were very tasteful. The food was served about 15 minutes after ordering, and was again very delicious and not too greasy. We really enjoyed our stay here, and absolutely loved the atmosphere.
Loved the place ! We came early so we had the first table, good prices during happy hour. They have a good IPA and amazing cocktails. Good music and friendly staff
Fantastic place. Cocktails were very good. Bread was great. Baked feta was very good. Staff was all nice. Even had a nice happy hour. Will be back.
Good place to dance. Was Saturday night and we didn't pay entrance...But drinks are a bit pricey. Friendly service and funny staffs always making fire tricks.
One of the best food experience that ever had, over a lot of gourmet restaurants that I went.
Lors of d'un, great music and cool atmosphere. We organized a birthday here with >20 people, they reserved the entire basement section for us and it was perfect. The food was very tasty and drinks are reasonably priced €4.5 for a beer Also no issues for people to get in or being held up at the door.
We had a few cocktails there, they were all really great. The staff was really friendly which is refreshing. Somehow it's not the case most of the time especially in bars. Would recommend

Wonderful quirky bar serving proper meals, platters or light bites. Food was lovely and very reasonably priced. Drinks were good. Service staff were very helpful and spoke English well
A nice place to visit and have some drinks while listening to good music. The staff is friendly and attentive to customers while always wearing a smile. The menu contains different drinks from beer, wine to strong liquor according to your taste. The architecture in the place is cosy and gives a special marine touch related to the place's name.
