Used to be the best. Ordered for years with different owners but last 4 orders looked like this, sadly. Dug 3/4 through the dish for 2 pieces and 3 bits of steak.nGood fish and chips still.
Generally go here and love the food. Crispy chicken burger is so good. However girlfriend wanted wonton soup and checked the menu on google, it said 9 dollars. So we called and got two assuming smaller soups. Once I got there it was 20 for one and I expressed my dismay, however my girlfriend still wanted the soup so I paid and showed them the prices. They did not help. I heard some saying it was 9 last year but others saying it was never less than 12. They said to me the price was wrong and didn't try to make it right.
Nice and friendly lady behind the counter. Delicious hoki and chips, crispy and not oily. Fast serving. Would recommend to drop by for some fish n' chips here.
The fish and chips from here is actually REALLY good. The chips are hot, crispy, and moist on the inside. The fish is crunchy on the outside and flaky on the inside. They season both with a bit of lemon pepper, which I found really delicious. Staff was super nice and our food only took about 10 minutes. Tau Lin is a hidden gem!
Not sure if it's the poor fish experiences I have had from other establishments or the fact their fish was that good....but best fish I've had for as long as I can remember.nnI went with the default battered fish which was Hoki, the batter was crunchy and not overwhelming and the fish was perfectly white and flakey. Can't forget to mention the lemon pepper seasoning on the fish, definitely a fan.nnLooking forward to trying the Snapper.
