The food has improved slightly since the change of ownership recently. The pineapple fritters are AMAZING and the fish is always a good size. They always chuck in a couple of extra potato fritters too. Feel bad that these guys have had a bad wrap for their pricing recently, I think it is on par with any other fish and chip shop in the country. There's definitely room for improvement, especially with how the shop is presented, but it's always a decent feed!
Visitors to the area from aussie, ordered battered fish and chips, without regret ! So yummy light battered, fresh fish and fair serve of chips...really enjoyed..going back tonight ....wedges of lemon would of bn spot on ..definitely recommend.
Never againnI don’t have photo of the fish but kumara was horrible. Very soggy and oily. I am sure their oil is probably very dirty and old. This place used to be good, not anymore
This was my first time here, and I wanted a Thickshake, which I was delighted with. I got my son a big boy burger for $12, man it was impressive, two burgers, a salad along with cheese, if I wasn't on keto I would be impressed......my son was very happy.nI highly recommend, not pretentious just a good classic Kiwi takeaway
