Pretty decent value for a paid site. $28 compared to around $50-60 for other sites in the area. Good facilities, clean showers and toilets and friendly service at reception. There’s a decent hotel for food and drink across the road too.
We recently stayed at this holiday park for our family vacation, and while there were a few positives, the overall experience didn’t quite meet expectations given the costs. Water was consistently hot, which was a nice touch after a long day, and there were extra activities available to keep the kids entertained, offering a good variety of options for everyone.nHowever, there were several downsides. The strict rules, though understandable, detracted from the relaxed atmosphere we were hoping for. The park felt cramped, with limited space and crowded common areas. Additionally, the unisex toilets near the campsites and cabins were inconvenient, and privacy could have been better. Given the cost, we didn’t feel it offered enough value, as the experience felt rather generic and didn’t live up to the price tag.nnOverall ok but would not recommend for larger groups or night owls.
Tasman Holiday Parks - Coromandel provides a well-maintained accommodation option. We stayed in a six-person room with friends and found the facilities to be quite satisfactory. The bathrooms are clean, thanks to regular maintenance and cleaning. Additionally, the park accommodated a late check-in, which was very helpful for our travel schedule.
We booked a two-bedroom apartment for our family trip, we found that the door to the children's room couldn't be locked when we arrived , The staff said it couldn't be fixed. We asked if there was any way to block the door to prevent someone opening it from outside, which seemed like a very reasonable request. A female manager who said she was the manager was unwilling to solve the issue and kept telling us that the place was very safe. However, the park was full of people. How could she guarantee that we would be completely safe inside the room with the door unable to lock? Additionally, the hygiene conditions were really poor, with spiders, spider webs, flying insects on everywhere..nWouldn't recommend to anyone. If you are a clean person, look for other accommodations
