Buffalo Lodge Coromandel Accommodation

I can not believe our luck in finding such a hidden gem. This place was immaculate. The choices in decor were clearly chosen by someone who wanted you to feel like you were at home. The soaps and lotions were so amazing that we went on the hunt for them.nnThe home was warm and peaceful. The host was very welcoming . The rooms were spacious, the library charming. The beds were very comfortable. The view, even though it was rainy and cloudy was amazing. I could only imagine the sunset on a beautiful day.nnAnother perk was you have the ability to book a massage in advance We did not as we didn't know. This brings me to the breakfast. Wow...even a week later and I'm still wow. Toni brought a beautiful assortments of homemade foods. This from the fresh granola to coconut yoghurt, fresh preserves, banana bread etc.nnIf you have to opportunity, even for a night, and you are looking to unwind, take a break from the bustle and just want some zen, you won't be disappointed.

Buffalo Lodge was our most memorable stay in New Zealand during our honeymoon. It's a quiet, beautiful place that offers a great view over the forest and the coast of Coromandel.nnThe Lodge itself is very comfortable and full of light, with a nice open space, a well stocked kitchen and even a little library on the top floor.nnThe host was very kind and even prepared a homemade breakfast for us. They provided a booklet full of information about Coromandel with lots of useful suggestions about activities and places to visit.nnOur room was clean, tidy and had a nice little balcony to enjoy the view.nnWe loved our stay and can't wait to come back one day!

I loved absolutely everything about my stay at Buffalo Lodge and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed and beautiful place to stay in Coromandel. I stayed in Room 3 and had spectacular views out over the coast. I loved watching the sunset from my bed, and from the spacious deck with a drink. The breakfast was excellent with homemade muffins and quiche, along with delicious yogurt, granola, and stewed rhubarb. Abby is so welcoming and Buffalo Lodge is the perfect balance of luxury and cozy comfort.

I stayed here for a weekend in February, and it was gorgeous! The views from my balcony were breathtaking, and the interior design of all the spaces was extremely soothing. Natural woods, big glass windows. I took photos so I could buy some of the items for my own home when I returned. I greatly enjoyed the ease of access and sense of remoteness. Can’t say enough about Buffalo Lodge, I am so happy I found it. Abby greeted me when I arrived and was the sweetest, most accommodating host. She upgraded me to their biggest room, Room 4, and I absolutely loved it. It was spacious and delightful. The view of the glowing pink sunrise from the bedroom window was unbelievable! Sunset views were also unbelievable - eating dinner out on the deck during sunset, with the fabulous view, birds singing all around, and the sound of the gurgling stream was one of my highlights!!nAbby was very accommodating with gluten free options for breakfast as well!nShort distance to town and to Driving Creek Railway was very convenient.
