The Taranaki Arts Trail is a unique weekend event held in June each year where participating artists open their studios and workshops to the public.
Visually inspiring, the volcanic landscape of Taranaki with its ring of wild, west coast beaches, green paddocks, myriads of rivers, streams, and bush covered hills, provides a beautiful backdrop to the Taranaki Arts Trail weekend event held in June each year.
Established in 2014, artists from throughout the region provide the public with the unique opportunity to join them in their studio/workshops. Ultimately, the aim of the Taranaki Arts Trail is to build a greater understanding in the community of the processes involved in and the skills required, in creating a work of art. The artists work in a variety of disciplines and sculpture and to encourage others to start
Geographically the Trail is divided into 5 smaller sections to assist the visitor with planning their self- guided tour. These are North, East, South, West and New Plymouth.
This is a free event.
