Taper is the best eatery in Levin and serves outstanding coffee. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. I love it ! They also sell Supreme coffee - my favourite is Ethiopia Guji
The service was friendly & quick, our chicken tacos were great. Our takeout coconut spicy chais were the best I’ve had in ages!nnWe did not appreciate the dogs coming through the cafe. Especially one man who thought we should all love his dog so let it go on long leash to come snuff/lick my ankles. Then seemed affronted when my husband told him we don’t like dogs!He got his coffee to go and then loaded his dog into his car which was parked right out front!! Why not leave it in car for the 5mins it took to get his coffee?nI am afraid of dogs and especially do not want them around me when I’m eating.
Taper has always been my fave cafe in Levin. Now I’m vegan I was worried about going back but they made it so easy. I got their corn hash meal and they subbed the non vegan toppings for others so I didn’t feel like I was missing out. The staff were awesome when I was double checking the ingredients. Totally recommend, great GF options too.
It was okay.nTeapot wasn't very full.nFood, chicken burger, had minimal fillings for the price but reasonably tasty.nStaff didn't interact and I didn't appreciate one leaning over our table of two to top up the knives in our cutlery box. Quite intrusive and there was enough cutlery on top of what we already had. Average.
Passing by Levin we decided to have a quick lunch stop. We had our stop in Taper. What a good decision! The food is tasty, healthy and delicious.
