Delicious! I ordered vegetarian tacos with refried beans, and they were great. Super filling and they were ready pretty quickly. They also do delivery online or a message and pick up as well.
The food is delicious and tasty and good portion size, but I ordered a chicken taco and it ended up with no chicken!! Whoops! By the time I got home to the North Western suburbs I was too tired to return and she closes between lunch and dinner anyway. I actually think it was just an oversight though...she possibly just forgot my chicken bok bok? I ordered mild and got exactly that so if you want some heat, do ask. Really good otherwise.
Awesome food, fantastic service! Lady who owns the place is a great laugh, really knows her stuff and works hard. We had the nachos and tacos, both delicious and filled with heaps of different things, all made on the day by her! Super wholesome, thanks so much
Its a little hole in the wall that produces some excellent Mexican takeaway. Portion sizes are great, flavors are good and the service quick. For a one person operation the queen does a great job!
I was really hoping the naked bowls were going to be bomb but I was so let down. It was watery at the bottom of my container and the chicken was really bland. No flavour at all that not even salt could improve this for me. I’m not sure what ingredient from my bowl made it extremely watery at the bottom but considering the container is paper it’s not ideal.
Taco Queen is my favorite Mexican joint in wellington. Amazingly friendly service have no idea what that other review was about and the food is fast! TQ makes all her own sauces and even makes her own corn chips which are EPIC to say the least. I have tried everything on the menu, and have to say the tacos are the best. The nachos come in at a close second, but really everything is amazing.
pretty tasty food, however I do wish it was tastier. more spice and more pico del gallo would make it more delish! perhaps you could also offer a chilli sauce range where I can choose between 1 and 5 on the spice rating and that determines how hot the sauce is? either way, Taco Queen is an absolute character- always keen for a laugh, big personality and is always up for a laugh. nice work TC
There is just simply not enough hole in the wall places like this where you can get fresh hot Mexican food. burritos are an absolute hit add extras to it you won't be disappointed solid 10/10
I had 2 delicious tacos beef & the chips con queso which was very good. The best Mexican food I have had here in Wellington. Highly recommend this place. Looking forward to trying the burrito & other offerings.
Not sure how this place has four stars. Service was fine but veg burrito was the most dissapointing I've ever had. It was all rice with a tiny amount of beans and some cheese. Paid way too much for that.
