Synit is a NZ specialist saltwater, custom fishing rod manufacturing company. All our rods are built by hand, so each rod is of the highest quality.
Synit- pronounced "sin-it" - was founded in 2006 by the late Tiny Coe (Norman Coe). The name Synit comes from 'Tiny's' name spelt backwards. Why? Not only was he dislexic, he knew his rod building back to front.
With the untimely and tragic passing of Tiny in 2009 this small company was reduced to only two members. Co-founder and designer Graeme Paterson and his daughter Chloe Paterson (CJ) who trained in the craft of binding and rod building under the guidence of Tiny.
Synit has set it's sights to carry on designing and building the best specialist saltwater rods on the market using technology not normally associated with blank and rod design. The Synit team think outside the square and as fishermen and designers we challenge ourselves and the limits of the materials we work with. The true worth of any great rod is in the design of the blank and Synit has teamed up with New Zealand company Kilwell Fibre tubes, who have over 75 years experience in making rod blanks to roll all the exclusive Synit designs.
Synit is now known world wide by anglers who demand the best proving you don't have to be a big company to be great, you just have to be the best at what you do.
