Luke serviced my bike today. It was a great experience, highly professional, quality service. He completed it relatively fast and with a really good result. He wasn't pushy, selling more parts, on the other hand he explained what was not working on my bike and why. He adjusted my aero bar, changed chain, replaced saddle with the one I liked, replaced pedal with my old one, adjusted breaks until they really worked. Thanks Luke, I will come back again - for sure. Nice work.
We had AMAZING service from Bike Barn in Hamilton recently. We went in to get one bike, and ended up buying three - just because the man serving us was so great, friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend these guys over any online shop - they fit the bikes and because we got the one on one service, we got bikes that were perfectly suited to our personal needs. Not what I would have picked, otherwise. We are really happy with the service, and the bikes.
I have to say a profound and deep thank you to Stephanie and her staff for her support and efforts to help me getting back into cycling. I was passing by one day about a week ago and decided to pop in to get out of the rain. I had no intention of buying anything, as I had a knee injury some years ago and have been very reluctant to start riding again. Stephanie was welcoming and kind enough to let me wait out the downpour. While there, she showed me around the shop and ended up encouraging me to test ride a bike later that week. I came back and remembered why riding bicycles used to be my number one passion. She set me up with a new mountain bike that fits perfectly I am 6'5" and her staff helped me find the best gear at the best prices locks, lights, helmets.... Stephanie is a true asset to the company and I am looking forward to her help when I come to buy a road bike to add to my new collection in next month. Thank you and sorry for the overly effusive review, but you basically changed my life. Eternally grateful.
Enough is enough. Terrible customer service, from a staff that more often then not doesn't know their product and a bike mechanic you can't get hold of. I don't mean to be harsh but in the two years I've been trying to work with them, they have failed to carry out repairs within their own deadlines. Tried to sell me the same tire that I was trying to replace three times! First accident was on the very next ride after the "complementary service" when the handle bars came off and the list of disappointments could go on. Don't make my mistake, spend your money and time elsewhere. I will from now on.
Large range but the service can be lacking depending on the day and the staff on duty. Prices aren't amazing and the special offers are usually a sham. They ran a Kellogg's cereal packet promotion in 2015 offering half price bikes but everything in the store was half price anyway and the promotional discount was utterly irrelevant. Also, many of Bike Barn's prices are heavily inflated versus Australia, meaning price specials are typically full price bikes masquerading as good value. Do your homework before buying.
Hi, I went into the store to buy a bike for my first triathlon. Tristan was just awesome with his advice and help to first choose the right bike and then go the extra mile to help me adjust it and kit it out with all the bits and pieces I needed for race day. Recommend this store for anyone looking for a great deal and awesome staff help Cheers Hoani Hakaraia
Slack customer service is being nice about it. They are selling bikes not fit for purpose and treat it as a what did you expect situation. No consideration for time and travel to deal with these muppets. Go else where is you can.
Okay entry level local bike store, better than The Warehouse but don't expect much more. Perhaps it was the assistants that I interacted with but they had no idea and could not help me when I asked for slick tyres for a mountain bike and some bearing grease. I am sure they had both items but they only found the tyres after I pointed them out to them!
Much better size range and price range available than in the Manukau branch. Better customer service, too - there were a few things that the fairly new? staff member didn't know, but she was quick to clarify with senior staff, and overall we were happy.
Walked in - got a super cheap set of pedals right away, and they looked over the whole bike. No wait, great service, kind people. Nothing but good things to say about this place!
