Popped in for a coffee fix and a quick bite. I love Switch Espresso coffee. Great locally roasted coffee with a kick. I had a cheese and onion scone which was great. Love that the butter is not in a pre portioned disposable packaging Staff were friendly and cleared plates/cup as they delivered other coffee and food. Warm and sunny spot to sit and relax.
Used to be our favourite spot until we moved to a different part of town. Came today and ordered my favourite mango smoothie only for it to not taste like mango in the slightest. Tasted like milky cinnamon and dates. Assuming the recipe has changed for the worse. Couldn't drink more than a sip and the tiny takeaway cup is insane for an $11 drink.nService is still good as is the food
Switch is a gem nestled in the fringy feeling New Brighton and well worth a visit. The staff are efficient and make great coffee, there's a good selection of cabinet food, as well as menu items for breakfast through lunch. Inside is quirky and comfortable and on a nice day there's outdoor seating.
I have coffe every day around Canterbury.nToday is the first time I'm not allowed to sit on the chair to enjoy my coffe if I'm taking way coffe.nNormally muffin and coffe.nAnd my coffe was overheating, not sure if was done on purpose. But I can't bring, I have wait to cool down.nHope this thing dosent happen with someone else.
The food here is incredible!! I had the tastiest cooked breakfast ever! The staff were so friendly and all smiling. The retro decor and general feel of the place is inviting and comfortable. Definitely recommend this little hideaway spot!
