We had a good few nights here. Rings were clean and reception left us special check in instructions after hours which was appreciated.
Lovely, light, spacious rooms. Good rates and pool was a bonus
We were a very late check-in having left the Kaiteriteri campground with the prospect of heavy rain coming. The new owners allowed our late arrival by leaving the unit door open. The room was very spacious and the bedroom at the back was very good. Our children appreciated the fresh beds. The rooms had new carpets and you could smell fresh paint. Overall the Sundowner Motel was a great find.
Stayed three nights. Booking was straightforward. Rooms could do with a proper cleanup. Tea & toilet supplies were not replenished. Pool area not cleaned. Cooking space has no hood/vent so if you cook the whole room will smell. Noisy fan no air-conditioning. This motel is ok for brief stays. Greatest plus is the supermarket directly across the road.
