I have no idea where the negatives reviews are coming from, but literally everyone visiting there was smiling ear to ear young and old and having a great time playing around and inspecting the different pieces. Especially for the low cost, this is a place I would definitely recommend to visit extra definitely if you are passing by this beautiful little town anyways.
Quite an interesting place. It's either your thing or not, no in between. If you don't like older junk and weird put together things, this place isn't for you. If you do, then recommend you go inside and explore what they have to offer.
The museum and the city are a still hidden gem on the south island. Not yet too many tourists and the old Town has an unexpected charm to it.nnThe museum is done in a playful and personal manner and one can feel how much time and dedication was put into it.
Was well worth the visit!nGot a couple of jump scares from things hiding I didn't expect, I absolutely loved the vibe here and could've easily hung out all day!
Visited back in October 2024, interesting exhibition of all things steampunk some parts had some interactive stuff if you like steampunk stuff, definitely worth checking out. Don’t know what steampunk is? You might have fun checking it out still :
