Star and Garter Hotel

We often get pizzas here, especially on Sunday when they have their special, the foods really good. They even have a small games room for those who seek a little chance to win. The facilities are always clean and the staff very friendly, beers are served cold.

Great place to eat. Fantastic service and food was devine. Pork hock is amazing! Partner had 1kg Mussels which she said were lovely and tasty. Can be a bit hot inside to eat in summer, could do with some ceiling fans. Other than that will be back again.

Last Friday 23rd May 2025 the staff service was welcoming, warm, and hospitable so please give them a raise because we visited the nearby area from Auckland but didn't feel like strangers. Loved the amazing food and atmosphere made us wanna stay longer. Had an awesome time there. Malo

Good atmosphere and good food. They have specials on during the week including $15 pizzas which are really popular. There's a few vegetarian options on the menu. There's also a pool table, darts and a fire place.

The pubs sits on the main road going through Coromandel. Staff were lovely. Comfy chairs in the front area to sit and people watch. Great deals on Sundays with $12 pizzas.
