I'd give Spotlight a 5-star rating for its product range and prices, but unfortunately, the last three visits we've made there have been let down by incredibly sour, unhelpful counter service. Perhaps its employees are really badly paid or work in terrible conditions or there's just chronic under-staffing, but 1 It doesn't hurt to smile at a customer, 2 Saying 'thank you' when a customer purchases an item is standard protocol, and 3 Not looking like servicing the customer is akin to having to swallow a maggot-infested chicken nugget might actually be a good thing! In other words, they're failing the basics of acceptable customer service. This is a great pity, given that if Spotlight improved on this front they'd certainly get customers whose good experience would send them back to buy more, and more often.
Always love spotlight. I live the creative energy you get being in there. The staff are nice and I always seem to find a new hobby everytime I go
Love it! An Aladdin’s Cave of treasure… every fabric possible, beads, threads, laces and ribbons. A huge jewellery box for artists and craft minded individuals. Homewares too!
Lovely staff and a big store, I couldn't find my vip card on Christmas eve so the lady beeped the store one which was lovely
The staff were super helpful when I was hunting for a particular fabric. They went the extra mile, checking all the shelves and offering suggestions.
