Love shopping for all my needs at spotlight, every product has been perfect, creative and home wise but PLEASE sort your website out. For a good year or two now it just crashes and any page you turn to it wont load up and only shows previous item listings...including going through check out.
Purchased several home furnishing items a couple of days ago. When purchasing these the customer service rep said to just bring anything back if you get home and anything doesn't work. Just bring back the receipt.nnWe got home and upon setting up one of the throws just did not work for the space as it was wrong colour. The thought was to return the throw and exchange it for another colour.nnWe went back in today to do just this. However we were blatantly told that because we didn't ring back the black ribbon that was wrapped around the throw as light packaging they wouldn't exchange it. I told them that the ribbon was ruined as my son had cut it when unpacked it, and that in relality it shouldn't be a problem as they actually sell black ribbon so they could just use some of that .nnThis store is known for not providing the best of customer experiences, and once again they have lived up to their reputation. The logic defies me. I had already spent a considerable amount. I was going to swap the throw for another colour so no money lost. They sell ribbon so would have been easily replaced, and was more than likely going to purchase further items today, so they would have easily doubled their revenue off this first purchase. But no, because there was no $2 ribbon it was a blatant NO from two of their service staff.nnI left the throw their as I don't need it. So wouldn't mind betting that if you call in store in a couple of days it is back on the shelf anyway.nnHappy Shopping :-
Lots of parking but beware it's 90 mins max. Art gear is well priced but paper and card is expensive here.nA ton of stock, tidy shelves. Great place for seasonal holiday stuff

I had a disappointing experience at the checkout near the main door with a staff member named Steph possibly short for Stephanie. I came in to exchange an item and was told that without a receipt, she couldn’t assist me. As this was my first time shopping here, I hadn’t kept the receipt, assuming it would be easily retrievable with the transaction date and time, as is quite standard these days.nnInstead of assisting me, Steph was rude and dismissive, telling me I’d have to come back because she wouldn’t be able to find the receipt at that moment. When I told her that was fine and I would return, she reluctantly agreed to look for it. Throughout the process, she continued to speak to me condescendingly, even lecturing me about keeping receipts for future visits. I kept apologizing and, in the end, thanked her for helping, but she completely ignored me and walked away without a word.nnAs a parent of a young child, it’s not always easy to keep track of receipts, and I’m sure many other parents can relate to this. On a positive note, Molly, another staff member, was kind and helpful, which I truly appreciated. However, after this experience, I don’t think I’ll be returning to spend my hard-earned money here. A little more courtesy and understanding would have to go a long way.
