We are a high performance bike store in a high performance town.
We stock some of the worlds best brands, Specialized, Felt, Garmin, Oakley and more.

Story

Spoken Cycles was born out of a passion for a high performance bike store for a high performance town.
I have been in the industry for 16 years and on all sides of the fence, I know what a store needs and most of all what my customers need. I feel Cambridge is looking for a store that is dedicated to its customers, providing them with service and satisfaction.

We have carefully selected the worlds leading bicycle brands to stock, selecting Specialized bicycles and their products, Felt, Oakley, Garmin and many more.

The goal when deciding to open Spoken Cycles was to create a 10/10 experience for all ages and all bike genres. Whether you are wanting to buy your toddlers first bike, commuter bike, mountain bike, a road racing machine or track bike, either myself or my staff at Spoken Cycles have the knowledge to make sure you are happy. The service will not stop just with bikes, we can offer great advice with clothing, nutrition, bike fit and all you need to know about cycling.
We are locals and want to provide knowledge on the area and tell you all about the great things Cambridge has to offer for bike riders young and old.
With full workshop facilities we are committed to offering the highest quality of service to our customers with fully certified Shimano mechanics.

We popped into S&M and spoke to Craig. He arranged an appointment with Stuart and a week later we’d bought 2 Moustache bikes! His knowledge and patience throughout our test drive and setting up the bike were second to none. Post purchase, the delivery and customer service has also been great. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an e-bike.
I have just bought a Moustache E bike from Stuart at Spoke & Motor Ely. If you are thinking of buying an e-bike this is the best place to buy one from. I went to the shop & was allowed to test ride the bikes that I was interested in. Stuart made several adjustments to the bike I wanted until I was happy with the riding position. I’ve had a e-bike before but this bike is so much better! Great service & above all a great bike.
Enjoyable experience from start to finish, I had looked at another supplier for an ebike but had poor service, decided to try Spoke and Motor and what a difference. Warm greeting upon entering the shop, knowledgeable about the various options, happy to allow trials which allowed me to make an early decision. My ebike was delivered as agreed, good hand over with detailed explanation of how everything worked, and then the best bit, getting to go out on the ebike which has been fantastic, wish I had done it years ago, no going back now, well done to all at Spoke and Motor.
We were interested in purchasing our first electric bikes and didn’t really know where to start or what would be the best type of bike. We contacted Spoke and Motor and visited the branch at Bury. Stuart guided us through the many features and allowed us to try the bikes that he thought suitable. His knowledge and patience were absolutely excellent and we would highly recommend this business. We’re now looking forward to better weather when we can go further afield.
I cannot rate Spoke & Motor Ely high enough! I was looking to buy an e-bike but having made one bad purchase in 2021 and with a disability I wasn’t sure if I’d ever find the right bike. From the moment I walked in to the Ely showroom Stuart was amazing, he listened to my issues made me feel at ease and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable on the bike. He went over and above in making sure the bike was right for me! I can absolutely recommend this company for anyone who wishes to buy a good quality e-bike, their customer service is the best! Thank you Stuart for helping me to get back to cycling and the freedom that gives me!
I can’t thank the guys at Spoke and motor enough. Needed their help to get a part for my Ebike. They sorted it out for and I am a happy customer. Spoke and motor stock high quality e-bikes and I would recommend you go there first if you’re interested in buying a top end ebike
Bought a Riese and Müller Roadster from them, spoke to Craig originally and then subsequently Stuart. They delivered the bike to my home address and took the time to go through all the controls and the Bosch Nyon setup. Very pleased with the bike which is proving to be a good choice for the winter months. I am also glad I chose to have the Tannus Armour inserts fitted, very necessary for the roads round where I live.
Loving the new Riese & Muller Nevo GT automatic bike. To be honest I cant fault it, everything is built to such a high spec, and so well thought out, that it makes riding easy and enjoyable. Stuart's advice in the showroom in Ben's yard outside Ely was brilliant. I ended up finding a bike that was perfect for my commute and for tasks around the city on the weekend, and not just simply the fastest bike, or being upsold anything. My dad even ended up buying a eBike and getting back into cycling.
I purchased two bikes from Spoke and Motor and the experience was fantastic from end to end. They have quite a few different bikes in their shop and they were fantastic in letting us test drive them around to figure out what we actually wanted. They provided their expert opinions and weren’t pushy at all during the buying experience. When they arrived, they were promptly built, road tested, and delivered. They detailed all of the necessary information and made sure we were confident before we took to the trails. I would strongly recommend and would definitely purchase from Spoke and Motor again!
Love the bike l give up driving mainly due to rising costs and only using the car once or twice a week. The bike fills that gap lve used it for shopping but plan to use it for enjoyment in the future. Spoke and Motor delivered the bike at no charge. I was given a run down on the bike at home everything was explained and questions answered. Top class service.
