SPELT BAKERY ON HiGHGATE is the realisation of a dream for us. The idea behind it all is simple - use good quality fresh ingredients mixed with the experience & skill of our award winning master baker James Musk, to produce a gourmet yet affordable product.

Such a small place you would never expect so many beautiful tasty treats when you get inside ! I got the millers sourdough and kumara and capsicum soup to take home. Was amazing and cant wait to go back and try more of their amazing selection in the future !
The pies are delicious however the croissants were quite bread-y with not much filling in them. The pastry to us also tasted quite savoury like a cheese scone which was a surprise. Other than that the sandwiches were also very yum!
Used to love them but they've absolutely lost me lol eternally waiting and they haven't had enough pies etc the last 3 times I've been, at least have some clearer marking so we don't wait in line to be told no AGAIN lol. Actually quite annoying, cannot make the trip over from St Clair anymore.
