Experienced the worst NZ service in my 2 months South Island holiday travel. The staff was unprofessional, rude & bad-mannered. The bar staff seemed irritable when I requested to try the different flavours of Speight. Food was served being dropped loudly on the table, with no plate, cutlery & cutlery.nnThe Loaded Fries was delicious with a good mix of sausages, mayo & cheese. Good selection of Speight beer.nnFeedback to duty manager - Kelly.nnNOT recommended for the terrible service, despite the decent food.
We travelled to Timaru about a month ago and were met with a very rude duty manager. We asked if they had any available tables for the two of us and she said it would have to be in the bar. We were fine with this as we had no booking. We got stuck in the middle of a work party where they completely surrounded us. The manager came over and apologised and I said “it’s ok, it is a bit uncomfortable though” to which she walked off with a snarky remark that “it is a bar”.nThe worst part was the whole time we were there, the upstairs tables had one table being used. I think she was just too lazy to check and it was easier to stick us in the bar.
Decent food at a good price. Shame the specials were just for one. Terms and conditions apply but no small print to be found anywhere.nLovely staff and food came out in a timely fashion, well presented
Went with a large group and were on a set timeframe before attending another function. Service and food were great. There were 16 of us and all were happy with their meals. We were asked regularly if we wanted more drinks. Very happy, thank you.
