Lovely food, good prices, friendly service.nnClassic pub bistro meals, tasty, filling and well priced.nnService was friendly and thorough.nnIt was a quiet Tuesday lunch so can’t speak on the atmosphere too much.
Terrible place to eat or even be involved with since the new managers/owners. It’s so expensive and The wait times are very long in the kitchen and most of the food is burnt or inedible, and the Indian lady that works in the restaurant is very rude and run off her feet… They let go of most of their Kiwi staff one by one when they took over and hired family and friends only, didn’t care who they were putting out of a job, probably why their service isn’t great anymore.nWould not recommend the place has gone to the dogs.
Wouldn’t recommend the restaurant. Took my son there for dinner it was very cold and the table arrangements were weird and impractical. Kids menu did not appeal to my son and I didn’t blame him. Food took a long time and was not worth the wait. Bacon bruschetta entree was hard to eat bacon half cooked and chewy. Pork belly burger was yuck far too much apple sauce pork was dry and chewy he couldn’t eat it. Unsure what cut of pork was used but it definitely was not pork belly. Pasta of the day was average and a small portion. They asked me how food was and I was politely honest but the lady had every excuse under the sun. Overall not a good experience especially for the cost. Left disappointed.
Hi there! I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the exceptional food service provided by Ricky I believe that’s his name. Ricky, who served our table, was very kind and generous. Thank you.
Stopped in for a coffee on my drive from Christchurch to Dunedin. What should have been a 5 minute operation, took over 15 minutes as, rather than just making the coffee, the staff member would stop, serve another person and pick back up where he left off.nnAfter ordering and him starting, I counted 6 stop/starts before I finally got my drink and unfortunately this was only the start.nnUpon taking my first sip, I realised their coffee machine was powered directly by a mini thermonuclear reactor as it was so hot, had I tapped it on a table, the liquid inside would have turned to diamond and that's when the flavour hit me.nnSweet, sour, salty, umami?nnNo, this was elevated to a new level.... Of disappointment.nnMilky, watery, burnt and sadness.nnSuffice to say, I gave the local garbage man a job to do that day.
