SPCA's Palmerston North Centre rehomes hundreds of animals each year - please come to see us if you are choosing to welcome a new animal into your family.

Mission

Our mission is to advance the welfare of all animals in New Zealand by:

• Preventing cruelty to animals
• Alleviating suffering of animals
• Promoting our policies through education and advocacy



"**Please note that adoptions are by appointment only**The Palmerston North SPCA Centre has had a well needed make-over to enhance the facilities for the animals in our care.We created an open cattery to provide a low-stress environment for our cats and have also upgraded our dog facilities. We now have large exercise runs where our dogs are free to play during the day.We rehome hundreds of animals each year so encourage people to come to see us if they are choosing to welcome a new animal into their family.We stock everything you need incl. food, toys, bowls and more at our centre pet store."

Picked up Our new companion Charly. He is such a charming gentleman, and very affectionate. The Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Was a very pleasent experience, for Us and said Feline.
I took in a lost bird recently and was pleasantly suprised with the process. If you find someones lost pet, dont be afraid to give these guys a call and start the process of finding an owner!
Love how there is so much care and diligence in looking after these animals and how much love there is for these creatures
Just picked up my beautiful new fur baby. Such an easy process, staff helping me every step of the way. Staff are amazing and so helpful. Cant reccomend these guys enough!
Love the kittens we have adopted, but have been quite disappointed some miscommunicated details from SPCA. Upon adoption we were provided with a piece of paper of everything the kittens were up to date with, and told that all vet-costs are covered by the spca for up to two weeks after adoption. Have had our kittens for a week and one is due for a vaccination. SPCA let us book in for this and said yes they will do this and cover this cost - then proceeded to call back and cancel this and told us they won’t cover this after originally telling us this would be covered as a first 2 weeks cost, and that we had to find our own vet for this. We are happy to pay for any costs our kittens require as most people are, but quite disappointed with the poor communication about this.
Took a load of cats in...staff came out to help. One lovely gal cleaned out the travel case for me. Didnt have to have the smell on my return journey...most appreciated
First time at SPCA Palmerston North. Looking at kittens. The kitten & cat rooms are great spaces.
Very friendly, couldn't be more helpful, these people are wonderful, thanks for being so lovely
Awesum bunch of people, would recommend them and there service to anyone
Warning, beware! You will leave with more than you intended. Great friendly staff, booked in to view the cats, thought we would have 1 ended up with 2, wanted all the animals!
