"**Please note that adoptions are by appointment only**SPCA's Hastings Centre was purpose-built and is situated on the junction of Maraekakaho and Heathcote Roads.An extensive building, the Centre has a reasonably large capacity compared to other regional centres with approx. 1,200 animals coming into our care each year.Over one hectare of land completes the site which allows for expansive lawn areas, small paddocking for exercise areas and is also handy for our larger guests as we do have the odd goat and sheep in for ‘stay overs’.Modern dog areas include quarantine and adoption units in separate buildings."

Awzum team. I dealt with a really nice vet when I had to euthanise a wee baby possum. r.i.p "littleganja" Great services for passed loved pets ashes to be home with you if you like that sort of thing. Knowledgeable friendly staff from my experience to assist with pet needs, Lost pets too. Support your local SPCA.
I have previously volunteered and have just had foster kittens, all of the staff at the SPCA are amazing, both Napier and Hastings. They go above and beyond, and do amazing work for furrbabies. Cannot wait to get out next bunch of foster babies. You all do amazing, hard work, and are appreciated
Got our new baby boy kitten from here. Friendly staff.
Went to pick up my foster. Staff were lovely. As it was my first time, pup and I had a meet and greet with my own dogo. When every body was happy I left with food and crate. Was a pleasant experience.
Fabulous place. Awesome, very helpful and caring staff. Helped sibling of kitten pictured. Mama in middle semi Ferrell.
On holiday and went to catch up with a friend who assists regularly at the Hastings SPCA. happily donated a couple of hours cleaning some kittens cages. Squeezed in a few quick hugs/rubs- many different kitty personalities, even experienced a Houdini escape attempt. Played with some beautiful puppies- heaven. Recommend donating a few hours to your local SPCA or rescue agency #SoRewarding

Absolutely wonderful team very efficient, had an injured kitten hanging around our accommodation for a 2-3 days while staying in Hastings, called them at 1pm to come pick the wee one up as I couldn’t track down any owners and someone was out by 2pm then straight off for a vet check. Best SPCA centre I’ve had dealt with in NZ.
