I love Southern. They have regular farm vets who will come to you for all the regular things you need and also have a hospital for more serious or in-depth procedures. I use Dr. Ray and she is a straight shooter who has helped me with everything from tendons to colic to repro.
The staff is amazing! So nice and welcoming!! The facility is in creditable, great through Covid 19. And prices are good considering. We drive 4 hours worth the drive.
I can't say enough how great Dr. Carter and his staff are. They have treated my mules and horse for several years. He is honest and tells you straight up what he thinks is best. My only complaint is the 2hr trip to get there, but worth every minute.
Have used these folks for years, Dr Carter is the best leg man ever. The doctors he brings in have saved my horses time & again. They even saved my mare's eye when she punctured it's edge bout 4.5" deep. Amazing.
I recently called Southern Equine to set an appointment with a vet for a few things I needed done for our horses. Never having used Southern Equine before, and aware of the fact that there are several veterinarians; I felt a little wary of who they might send out. Dr. Jennifer Reda came out and I can say that I am more than pleased to work with her! She’s very knowledgeable, attentive to details and her care and concern for the animals is very evident. Super happy to have found Southern Equine and Dr. Reda!
Dr. Carter and Hope have always done all they could to help me with my ottb rescues for as long as I've had them. When in doubt about anything will always call Southern Equine Clinic. Great resource always available and knowledgeable about special needs. Thanks for all you do!
Excellent vets. They saved my horse's life when there was no hope. I've used them for over 10 yrs and would not go anywhere else. They're also very reasonably priced
