We have always used Southern Comfort for our Border Collie who is now almost 4. Karen and her team do an excellent job of looking after our fur babies and all requests and questions are responded to, and accommodated very well. We were away for 4 weeks this time and it was the first time Rex was away from us for that long and I am chuffed that we decided to leave him with Southern Comfort. He’s come back happy, content and well looked after. Highly recommend these guys

It was our very first time leaving our cat at Southern Comfort cattery for three weeks. We emailed them in her first week of stay to see how she was settling in and we got a reply back promptly.  When we came to pick up our cat, the person at reception was also one of the people who cared for our cat seem genuinely enjoyed looking after her.  Thank you again for taking such a good care of our cat for the last three weeks.

Our first time.using Southern Comfort Kennels over the Xmas break. VERY impressed. Professional, friendly, good communication. Will definitely use them again, and recommend to others.

We've used Southern Comfort's Cattery many times. It's always a straight forward drop off and pick up. It's not close to our home and not in central Auckland, but great if travelling between Coromandel, Hamilton, etc.

Our 17 month old lab, Joe, spent 7 nights with Southern Comfort while we went away - they took him last minute when his original care fell through. It was his first time at a kennel and he’s come home very happy, well looked after plus freshly bathed - thank you!

Please have more experienced people who can atleast clip a dog’s nail and ensure dogs don’t get bruise: there during the stay . The least you can do is let the owner know but doesn’t seem like your staff seemed to care enough.  We are so sad and disappointed by our decision to leave Roman under your care . Also, let people know that you end up charging for 2 days after 11 am the next day. This is after we paid $50 to get a dog washed which take time and dishonest to say the least.

Have always used Southern Comfort Overnight Kennels for the last twelve or so years for our previous dog and now our 6 month old puppy, initially with the old owners and now with the new owners and I can't fault them. They always look after our dogs very well. The service is always super friendly and they are very good with the dogs even with our high energy GSP/Vizsla cross pup.

They've always taken great care of our Sydney Silky, and she loves going.

Looked after our mutt for 11 days. He was impressed!

Picked up my dog after a two hour car trip. Asked politely if I could please use the toilet as I was bursting. She made a big deal about it and eventually said yes but she would have to supervise me. so I said “don’t worry about it.” Also mentioned that my dog is not welcome anymore as she barked too much. I understand she does suffer a bit of separation anxiety but when I got home her voice was practically the same when she barked, so she obviously didn’t bark the whole time!!! Would be nice to know they would have practises in place that would help calm dogs down. Obviously don’t! If there are any issues, it would have been nice to know about the problems beforehand. She was very rude and would not recommend others.  In response: please get your facts straight before making comments about the collar. You  hadn’t told us once that she was having issues, it would have been nice to know beforehand. I would have happily put the kids in the car if that was the issue with using the toilet, as I was in a lot of pain.
