Story

Soul Journeys is not just a retreat, it’s a “real” treat. Away from your normal life our intention is to support you to not just have an amazing experience but to begin to create new habits that make a “real” difference to your life.

You stay in central Queenstown with all the buzz a small alpine town has to offer as we guide you to practise finding stillness amidst the beauty and the busyness. Each retreat has a unique theme and focus, and we trust you will find one that’s just right for you. Most days you get ‘Soulo’ time to relax, book in a massage or other treatment and more ‘active-relaxers’ can feel free to add in an adrenaline-based adventure activity.

Booking accommodation is in your hands and we make recommendations to suit your choice of budget, mid-range or luxury. Food is all-inclusive and with our local knowledge we take you to a variety of our favourite cafes and restaurants where you will enjoy healthy, nutritious, mouth-watering food prepared by some of NZ’s top Chefs.

Ultimately, you will make new discoveries about your self and go home inspired, with a plan for returning to your ‘everyday’ life.

I cannot recommend Soul to Sole Wellbeing enough. I had IET healing sessions with Carla that helped me get through an emotional time. I then booked their retreat in Costa Rica and the magic continued. I loved the lodge, being fully immersed in nature, and all of the wonderful activities we did each day. Waking up to meditation, yoga, delicious breakfasts and had even more fun with surfing, horseback riding and exploring all that Costa Rica had to offer. I also had the most amazing Indian Head Massage out of the many holistic treatments offered during the retreat. The amount of love I felt all around melted my heart. It was one of the best weeks of my life! I feel like a totally transformed person!
Soul to Sole’s yoga retreat at Calamocha Lodge was an unforgettable, life-changing experience. We arrived at the lodge in our 4x4 rental car at dusk and were treated to a delicious dinner with spectacular views of the sunset from the location up at the top of a hill overlooking the jungle and sea in the distance. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of howler monkeys who came right up next to our cabin a couple of times, parrots, and many other birds. One night a couple of cute little bats flew into the bedroom and landed on top of the mosquito net around our bed! It was amazing being in such close proximity to nature and all the animals. Carla was warm and caring, and we felt rejuvenated after the morning meditations and yoga flows. We loved all the unique experiences, such as sound baths and vision manifesting! I highly recommend the horseback riding and surf lesson with Estaban, which were action-packed and so so fun! You will leave feeling like a new person, and will have a new group of friends from all over the world.
Magical retreat with Carla & Jasmin in Costa Rica yoga in the mornings looking out into nature..we were literally in it. Fun activities like zip lining & surfing. Topped off with a special afternoon manifesting our dreams. Eileen
Carla is an incredible yoga teacher and retreat leader. I primarily went for the nature and surf. I am not a huge yoga fan, but Carla changed that. It was the first time that I actually had fun. She made the class enjoyable and there were plenty of smiles. I am not flexible and the classes were a good blend of stretches as well as more challenging poses. The venue was the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. Walking in the jungle, down to the beach, or heading out for dinner with the locals was incredible. The beaches were clean and the water was warm. The locals are amazing and made me fell so welcome. I would not hesitate to do another retreat with Carla and her team. Eating fresh food and being surrounded by nature created a peace in my mind and heart that I had not felt for many years. Her massages and healing work are a gift and she has a beautiful spirit. She really loves to help people and it shows.
I went to Carla for life coaching and IET, and have to say I cannot recommend her enough. After only a few sessions I had already started to make big life changes with more confidence, thanks to Carla's encouragement,  making me feel positive and excited for life. Carla is a true healer, and goes above and beyond for her clients, making an effort to get to know each individual, to provide tailored guidance and loving support. Carla's passion for what she does shines through and her zest for life is infectious, you can't help but feel energised and soothed in her presence!
Carla is beautiful, amazing soul giving so much to others, nearly too much. Expect tons of support and a lot of guidance, very responsive. Did few courses, had good few treatments and attended family yoga retreat in France and definitely doing more. Highly highly recommend.
Carla is an absolute angel; an earth angel helping to channel divine energy from the heavenly angels. I’ve had 2 distance IET sessions with Carla now and each one has brought so much peace, grounding and clarity into my life. I can really feel the power of the sessions as they are happening, it’s truly amazing. Carla has also provided me with some life coaching and she is able to help me to zoom out on my perceived “issues” and see my life with more clarity, bringing into my being a deeper sense of love, peace and wholeness. I would recommend working with Carla in a heartbeat! I am so looking forward to future sessions

We signed up for the first ever family retreat that Carla hosted. It was so amazing!! Carla took such great care of us from the beginning - even helping with travel to make sure we arrived safe and sound. She made sure my husband was able to get to a grocery store for our special dietary needs and help him get to the rental car location. Agus made sure the kids had awesome projects to work on and engaged them in some yoga. Carla and Agus gave our entire family amazing treatments almost daily! We LOVED the horseback adventures, exploring the local area, surfing, and great conversation over dinner! The highlight for me was almost daily yoga. Our family has way too many dietary restrictions and Carla and Veronique made sure that our bellies were full, which was no easy task. The only challenges for us traveling during rainy season were that we learned we need A/C in our rooms at night and the mosquitoes found any inch of skin that we didn't cover in bug spray lol. We would 100% do another retreat with Carla and Agus!!!
I had a tough 2022, and wanted to make fresh start to 2023. I wanted to connect with nature and connect with my inner self. This was my first retreat ever and i’m so happy i chose this one. Most of the retreats online have a strict program, only offer vegan food and doesn’t ask you what you want. Carla makes it more flexible and you can cater your wants and preferences on the program such as food, surf lessons, energy healings and yoga classes. This has been the best week of my life. Everything was so amazing, from start to finish, A to Z. I connected with nature, connected with my soul on beautiful morning meditation and yoga classes, connected with waves and learned surfing, plus Carla gave energy healing therapy that helped me to feel much better and balanced. I couldn’t ask anything more, anything less. This retreat is just perfect. My heart will stay here in Costa Rica for a long time. As my retreat friend Jasmin said this is Rolls-Royce of retreats. Beautiful location, amazing people, everything is just so perfect. I felt so special and lucky to spend a week here. I’m so grateful for Carla to offer this retreat.
