This is a 130+ years old establishment in Auckland! And what a charming place indeed to visit for a charity event. Amazing drive through Cornwall park up to the building, past picnic tables and groups, plenty of free parking outside the gate and more inside and right behind the kitchen annex, under huge old oak trees in the heart of Auckland is something special.nThe entrance and views out west are amazing and the character inside is fresh yet undeniably with a long history.nGreat venue for an event of 70+ people and really good food and service was spotless. Thank you very much team, you made it a very enjoyable and memorable night for everyone involved.
The staff Office were pleasant and helpful. Free coffee was also great. There no getting away from it I use VTNZ because I no there thorough. Some times to Thorough but that’s why we go there. Silverdale would have to be the worst in the country for waiting time. One lane for trucks and one lane for cars boats trailers Caravans and Motor homes. This morning it was a 1 hour wait for a trailer recheck. 2 days prior 2 3/4 hours wait for a warrant check with cars lined up behind. Not good enough .
Excellent venue for all functions - Birthdays, weddings, hair cuttings, conferences and more! Have attended many functions here, the food & staff have always remained consistent with their service. The staff are always so lovely and accommodating to requests.
A pleasant afternoon well spent at Sorrento in the park, beautiful sightseeing location perfect for a Sunday afternoon.nnMy husband and I attended the Harmony in the park Lunch, wonderful, wonderful experience. Warm Greetings at the door by staff and then taken also to your seats, the bar was well stocked and a few feet away from all tables.nnThe customer service was on point with some hilarious banter from one in particular she was sooo lovely I'd forgotten to ask for her name. Our empty bottle of wine and beers were cleared quickly, our plates collected as we finished eating, 10/10 for customer service.nnThe food I forgot to take pictures of, it was too good, I was hungry and oh boy did it hit the spot, my eyes kept asking for more Salmon but my stomach already bloated i didnt have anymore room. My face combo, the lettuce Salad with the buttery croutons with the little slices of the white cheese a must have. Some seasoning in the baked vegetables would've been nice but I dipped it in with some of the mushroom that was saturated with vinaigrette Oooooosh. Amazing thankyou to the chefs and Kitchen Staff 10/10.nnThe live music and band a Vibe, Annie Crummer is Hilarious
We had our wedding at Sorrento on 25 February 2023 and Neil, Shirley, and the rest of the Sorrento team were absolutely amazing! They took care of everything on the day and in the lead-up, there was never any fuss and they made everything super easy. The banquet was amazing with so many options and plenty of delicious food to go around. I would definitely recommend Sorrento to my friends and family and hope that one day we will have another reason to hold an event there.
