What a lovely experience both my husband and I had,for my birthday. Unfortunately we only stayed 1 night the staff was helpful and curious.The room was wonderful lots of room for the price we paid. But unfortunately the casino bar staff could do with a bit more training to being curious to customers. They need to smile a little more. Come on you staff this could be a holiday of a lifetime for some people, and something like being curious with a smile could make that holiday special .
I recently had the opportunity to visit Sky City Auckland and I must say, it was an absolute pleasure. The casino was top-notch, with a wide selection of games to choose from. The restaurants were also excellent, with a nice variety to choose from. I had the chance to stay at the Sky Grand hotel, and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. One of the highlights of my visit was definitely the Sky Tower jump and walk. It was an exhilarating experience, and the views from the top were absolutely breathtaking. The Sky Tower itself is an impressive feat of engineering, and the views from the observation deck were simply stunning. In conclusion, I would highly recommend Sky City Auckland to anyone looking for a fun and memorable experience. Whether you're a fan of casinos, fine dining, or simply enjoying breathtaking views, there's something for everyone at Sky City.
I enjoy the atmosphere here. We went on a family outing, enjoyed lunch and ended up in the casino for some fun. The staff here are outstanding, they assign special people to look after you and ensure you are gaming responsibly, ensuring you take regular breaks to walk around, eat and explore.
Stayed here for a couple of nights and loved it. Room was spacious and quiet. Everything in the hotel was clean and pleasant. Everything is close by and convenient. Knocked a start off for the tea, even though they've spent more on zealong tea, I just didn't like it and had to buy some Kenya bold.
Very comfortable, engaging staff, varied selection of breakfast options and a good gym. If you enjoy a quite night in, ensure your room is not 803-808, 903 - 908. The smoking area is located on the 7th floor and can get noisy.
Haven't been there since way before CoVid & the revamp. I was pleasantly surprised by the place! So nice and spacious, many new additions and changes. Service was nice at the inner bar on the entertainment side where the band plays, place was clean and packed! Was the night of the WRWC final.
Went in for the entertainment rather than the casino. The Saturday evening bands were wonderful. Parking was very pricey so keep that in mind. Think we paid $32 for a few hours. All in all a good evening out.
We got a family room and it was beyond what expected. We were escorted to our room by a hostess who had goodies bags for the kids, personalised the room with a lovely welcome message on our windows and nothing ever felt like it was too much to ask! Definitely returning next time we are in Auckland
Katana is always on shift and she is excellent & hard working. She only works P/T I don't think they pay her enough even though she has lashes. The Russian isn't here today. The problem I have is:The food is always cold. There is no barista only instant coffee, the juice is too sweet. The water is behind the coffee machine & hard to find. There was no scrambled eggs today. And there is no salmon in the buffet. Even though I paid something shy of $30 1 pax. The only reason I come here is because I'm an early riser. Its the only place to get breakfast at 7am. The bar is only open from 12pm onwards. What kind of Casino is this? I rate this business a 1* purely cos I've worked in casinos. And ours was 5 star. And can get anything no matter the time.
NYE vibe was a buzz- busy as leading up to midnight, parking was great, new member sign up a plus. Inside was dumb. The only place to sit was in front of a machine, or down stairs foyer, vaping areas or food outlets not opened 24 hrs Worst in the world for a Casino 24/7. New member sign up included free parking. Staff entered voucher bonus and turns out boom gate was open for all to exit anyway last destination of choice for us because it lacked the welcoming, stop, chill, eat, refresh, dabble a bit & be entertained vibe.
