We went to see the Full Monty. It was fantastic. A Great Performance. I was pleasantly surprised, it was the first time I had ever seen a performance by this amazing, talented group of actors. Thank you New Plymouth Little Theatre.
Never knew about this place. On Saturday evenings they offer opportunity to new entertainers to strut their stuff. If you want to try something alternative and are not a critic you will love this as much as I did on my last visit to New Plymouth .

We enjoyed a well-acted and very funny play. The theatre staff probably volunteers are friendly and welcoming. The venue provides an intimate theatre experience, my only criticism would be that the seating is a little cramped. We hadn't booked for the meal but plan to next time. A great pre-Christmas night out!
The stage is a reasonable size, as is the auditorium - although for the show we went to, it was set up with tables and chairs for eating from the buffet menu pre-show rather than just chairs - which would have allowed a lot larger audience to fit in. Audio quality seemed satisfactory and there were also no lighting issues I noticed, although the show we saw was fairly simple for both of those requirements. The reception area and frontage are pretty budget, but I guess that is not too important. I didn't need to visit the toilets. So, for an amateur theatre in small town NZ, it's quite satisfactory and as long as the shows themselves are well enough selected, directed and acted, the facility itself is unlikely to be a disappointment to many.
Quite a cute building. Easy to find. But not a lot of parking spots available, so pays to go early if you want a good spot.
I always enjoy Little Theatre shows,the latest being The Full Monty, featuring Tyler my talented grandson.
Been to several shows here and loved everyone. A wonderful asset to New Plymouth
