Extremely Disappointing Service from Silverdale Medical CentrenWe are absolutely disgusted with the lack of communication from Silverdale Medical Centre regarding our seven-year-old child’s swab results.nThe results came back positive for MRSA on Wednesday, yet nobody from Silverdale Medical Centre contacted us to advise us of this serious problem. We had to seek help elsewhere and only discovered the results when the doctor at SureCare Medical Centre on Gravel Road accessed them through the medical online system.nWe were advised that the antibiotics our child was taking would not be effective against the MRSA identified. How can a medical centre receive results like these and fail to notify the parents? We should never have had to chase up such important information about our child’s health ourselves.nThankfully, SureCare Medical Centre on Gravel Road provided fantastic care and attention when we needed it.nSilverdale Medical Centre has seriously let our family down. This is not a minor oversight — it concerns a serious medical result involving a young child. We expected better communication, appropriate follow-up, and basic patient care.nBased on this experience, we cannot recommend Silverdale Medical Centre.
Long waiting times, zero respect for patients time and patience. I am not sure what is the point of booking the appointments when they run delays up to an hour or more. One of the worst medical providers I have had to deal with.
Outstanding service. I brought my 12yo son in with a very deep oyster cut in his knee on 16 July. We were greeted by a really nice guy at reception and were then seen promptly by a nurse in triage who then moved us to an examination room. Another nurse checked, cleaned and bandaged his wound and sent us for an x-ray next door to check for embedded shell fragments. Shell fragments were evident so he was given nitrous oxide and local anesthetic and the shell fragments were removed and the wound cleaned internally. During our visit we interacted with 3 receptionists, 4 nurses, 1 doctor and an x-ray technician. Every single person was friendly and clearly competent in their field. I have never been so impressed with the level of service from a doctors office as I was am with Silverdale Medical.
The front desk receptionist, Naomi, was beyond helpful and referred us to another clinic that accepted our child’s ACC case. We are tourist visiting and she was so kind to give us another information’s clinic in order to not have a big medical bill since they are a private clinic. She didn’t have to do any of that and we are so grateful for her help! We highly recommend Silverdale Medical!
So lucky to have been seen by two incredible nurses tonight. What an asset to the centre. Amazing interpersonal skills, saw me and remedied my stressful issue quickly and professionally. Although so efficient, what stood out most to me tonight was their kindness. The front desk were also friendly and helpful.nSpecial mention and thanks to special Nurses Chrisy and Georgia.
