Seashore Cabaret

We enjoyed catching up with family recently at the Seashore Cabaret, and this spot was perfect for the occasion.nnDrove past it initially as there's no sign on the outside of the building, just the entrance menu adds, but the name is inside the covered door?nnAnyway it's upstairs from there in the old dance hall, and photo's from that time are displayed prominently inside, and are alongside eclectic items from the past...great vibe, which combines into a unique theme.nnThe food is tasty and presentable, and fits within expectations. You won't be wowed but SC is efficient, and it has to be as this is one of the few places I've been to lately with a queue. Go early to beat it...nnThe icing on the cake is the view and on this day it was a deal breaker. Our coffee/lunch date was complete, and it was a pleasant experience. Reccomend.

Super cool space that you would never know existed above the storefront. We ate too quickly to take photos, but had the Thai beef salad, big breakfast, and the standard two egg plate. My son had a salted caramel milkshake that he said was wonderful. They have a full soda bar and coffee bar along with amazing pastries. It’s a little loud inside. The view is absolutely amazing even on this cloudy day. This is a fun place to eat with great food!

Great atmosphere, very busy so was a wait to be seated plus a wait for the meals. My calamari would’ve been more enjoyable if it was hotter. Also a salad along side it would’ve been nice because $27 is a lot for lukewarm fried crumbed bits.nMy 8 year old said his pancakes taste like they were from the supermarket. Then another son said his hash-brown tasted exactly like the ones they have at college house boarding school. Another’s meal was near being cold & they weren’t happy to line up at any time especially afterwards to have to pay. -They’d wish to do it from the table with the machine.

Among all the places we've eaten at in Wellington, this has got to be our absolute favorite. Every single thing we ordered was so delicious, from the fish tacos and chili calamari to the big breakfast and the Snickers milkshake. The place was also so cozy with a great view, and the service was excellent despite it being a public holiday. Totally recommend this place.

We love this for place - it’s perfect for lunch in almost any weather and it takes a lot to keep us inside. The views out over Wellington Harbour can’t be matched and it’s relaxing to watch the birds, people passing by and ships arriving and departing.nnThe food is excellent and the staff provides wonderful service every time we have been.nnSummary - fabulous!
