Spent a great dining experience in this cafe restaurant. We were served by a lovely lady named Francesca and all throughout our dine she was very attentive with our table needs - very satisfactory - she has also entertained us with few chats that made us feel more comfortable and home. We have tried their Traditional Haggis with a dram of whisky, Scotts Macaroni Cheese and Crispy Chorizo - the food is amazing and is filling though served in an average plate size. Sadly, we went into the cafe by 13:15H and wasn’t able to try the traditional Scottish breakfast as breakfast is only served til 11:30H. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful dining experience that surely made us feel returning for another dine. It was crowded the time we went, without any table reservation yet we were happily accepted. The place offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking: The cafe is located within the City Centre and if you look down from the terrace is the Victoria Street [which is part of the Harry Potter movie].
This is great place for brunch on Victoria street. There is terrace dining and indoors as well. I had the “Scottish” breakfast which my local friend scoffed at but was very tasty. Traditional English breakfast but a side of haggis which was fantastic! Mimosas were also delicious. Wish it wasn’t raining otherwise would have sat outside and enjoyed the amazing view.
We did a quick Google search before heading here for a quick lunch bite after walking on royal mile. When we got asked to wait for a bit outside, I didn’t expect the table will be set up for our LO as well. The staff set up the high chair without us asking. The food was quite good. Really like my Caesar salad. My husband ordered a few small things and they are all amazing. Kid-friendliness: High chair available!
Decided to come to Scott’s kitchen for lunch after hiking up Arthur’s seat. We sat out on the terrace and the weather was gorgeous. Our server Lauren was very attentive and the food was fabulous. We had the traditional Haggis and Sticky toffee pudding with an Elderberry Noctail.Food: 5/5
The service was surprisingly fast! The waitress, Francesca, was very welcoming and attentive. I feel like we ordered and had our food within a 10 minute window. This location also had a great view of the royal mile. We ordered the venison casserole and the haggis. Everything was very good and would definitely recommend to any looking for a delicious Scottish meal.
We came in right as the kitchen was closing, and we tried to fight, but they were insistent we sat down. I’m so glad that we did! The best haggis we both ever had! delicious! The server Sarah was so friendly. I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else in Edinburgh over this place!Food: 5/5
A wonderfully priced restaurant for breakfast. I got the breakfast bap with bacon, poached egg, and potato; it was spectacular. Definitely a saltier, flavorful bacon. The rest of my group was also very satisfied with the bold flavor. Come here for authentic Scottish dishes! Dietary restrictions: They asked about allergies before taking our order.
We absolutely loved our experience here. The website, reviews and pictures don't give Scotts its due, considering the great team that operates it, the fantastic specialties and the phenomenal location. The veggie burger is incredible. The haggis is delicious is you're looking to try Scottish haggis. The vegetable soup changes seasonally was made of broccoli, cucumber and chili and was very good. On top of that, overlooking Victoria Street was a nice surprise. Bathrooms are clean. Hostess recommended the Sticky Toffee Pudding and she was right! Sit outside for the perfect dinner. Vegetarian options: Great veggie burger made in-house like none other. Also a vegan haggis, in addition to a great vegetable soup that changes seasonally. Only two salad options, though. Dietary restrictions: Ask and the wait staff has a lot of info. Kid-friendliness: They gladly provide high chairs. Wheelchair accessibility: Tough to get to the restaurant, given the tight walkways. Restaurant itself is accessible.
Restaurant with a terrace over Victoria street. Their sister restaurant downstairs serves “fancier” food, but I found their front of staff slightly rude when I asked for a table. The haggis here was amazing, actually the best I’ve had. The haggis Mac and cheese was also great, and special.Food: 5/5
Colleen was such a delight. The food presentation was wonderful and tasted just as good. Ordered the eggs Benedict and the sausage breakfast bap.Food: 5/5
