A world search, which also included France, Germany, North and South America as well as Australia for the ideal area with perfect conditions for viticulture, especially for Pinot Noir, brought Kai Schubert and Marion Deimling, graduates of the German Viticulture and Oenology University in Geisenheim to the Wairarapa, New Zealand. Schubert vineyards are closely planted and the unique climate produces low yields and internationally award winning wines with intense and complex character; predominantly exported to currently 33 countries.

A lovely lady gave us a tasting then we sat outside in the sun and drank a beautiful glass of wine.
Nice wine but the server was quite mean with the portion given of the tasting wine. In comparison Margain Vineyard was more generous with their serving

Very small in size but big on accommodation. There was a group of 8 inside when I showed up along with a van tour, another car of 2, then another 7 on bicycles. Got to enjoy 5 wines from a rose to a unique white and three reds. We all enjoyed the wines outside in perfect weather.
Was amazing to sit in the vineyard and enjoy their amazing wine. Very knowledgeable and pleasant duty manager who assisted us with the tasting. Will be back.
