One of the better vineyards we visited on our self guided tour. Beautiful location, nice casual setting with friendly welcoming staff who were happy to explain the different wines. Affordable tastings and platter! Would definitely recommend.
Would totally agree with Moira, fantastic wines, great setting and comfortable atmosphere. Two guys were very informative and friendly, boss took over `cos we stayed for ages. Different wines from the norm and very enjoyable. My favourite place of our eight vineyards, do not miss it. Platter was so good and loads for four of us. Had lots of fun in Martinborough and this was a highlight, excellent. Sorry to say we`ll not be back soon, Scotland beckons, but here`s hoping.............. Cheers
An interesting selection of natural wines, with the usual tasting set up of $10 per person, waived when you buy a bottle. They have yummy great value platters and sunny outdoor seating.

The venue was just set beautifully, the customer service that you and your team provided was outstanding! The service was out of this world, and you were all making the magic happen behind the scenes so everything went smoothly for the day! Everything went so well without a hitch and just want to say thank you for making their day awesome Definitely exceed my expectations and the wines, venue A++++ I'd your thinking of getting married here! Lance and his team will have you sorted!
Cambridge Road Winery specializes in non-conventional approaches to winemaking. The result is that their wines are off-beat; sometimes the wine is interesting and sometimes it's just awful. I'm not sure if they're starting with poor quality grapes or if the winemaker is responsible for the poor result, but to me, their wines are dominated by strong funky, clunky flavors and not the subtle pleasant flavors one expects from good wine. These wines demonstrate why "different" isn't necessarily better. Every wine can be a learning experience and at this winery I learned what happens when radical winemaking techniques are adopted. It wasn't my taste but some people will like it, and a good wine is any wine you like.
After reading many of the previous reviews I am very bewildered & reminds me that wine tasting is definitely very subjective & totally an individual opinion. The wine we tasted, for our palettes would have to be easily comparable to the worst wine we have ever tried. On par with South Australian white wine! I even tipped the foul pinot gris onto the closest garden plant! The poor woman serving us was run off her feet whereas a system of purchasing a wine flight would be far more efficient & professional. People, visit the winery & make up your own mind thinking objectively. Steve Franklin Rotorua

Friendly and attentive sommeliers, interesting to try natural and organic wines. Would have liked a little manual to describe thé biodynamic practices that they use.
Great wine. The organic and natural wine offers such a different tasting experience. The setting is lovely and very child/family friendly. Will definitely revisit at some point.
