Savour is a cooking school run by professionally-trained chef, Wendy Joyce. With a Ph.D. in French & Art History to boot, Wendy provides dining experiences and cooking classes for clients keen to appreciate the cultural and culinary sides of great food.
Wendy is a professionally trained chef (London City & Guilds – Dip. Culinary Arts and Dip. Patisserie) and has work experience at Charley Noble in Wellington, Taylors on Jackson Street, Petone, and Ruth Pretty Catering, in addition to teaching cookery classes at Social Cooking and Wellington High School.
Originally an academic with a PhD in French art and literature, Wendy runs innovative cooking classes based on recipes of the Impressionist painters in addition to classes in traditional, popular cuisines. She also creates Epicurean experiences for hotels, restaurants and other organisations who want to connect people who share a passion for art, food and learning such as her 2017 sold-out Wellington on a Plate event, ''Dine with Monet'', at Hippopatamus restaurant.
